Barnstable High School Hosts BIPOC College Fair

The MLK Action Team was invited to host a resource table at Barnstable High School’s first college fair geared for BIPOC students.  With guest speakers and alumni representing 10 HBCUs, students had a lot of opportunities to talk about their future plans for after high school.   Pictured above is Julia Johnson (left), represented the Union Zion Heritage Museum with some museum exhibits; Lynne Rhodes, (center), President NAACP Cape Cod Chapter, was there to offer students voter registration forms and assistance; and Karen Boujoukos, Chair of the MLK Action Team, hosted the Action Team table with free, gently used books and “Silence is Compliance, End Racism” wristbands for all who wanted them.
