The annual MLK Breakfast event was held in person after three years of being held on Zoom and was a joyous and inspiring morning. With a capacity crowd of 170 attendees, our Keynote Speaker, Rev. June Cooper of Boston combined tales of her life’s work with remembrances of Rev. Dr. King and urged every individual to remember and respond to his call to action. Remarks from Pancheta Peterson after accepting her award as our Racial Justice Advocate awardee of 2024 were moving and motivating. The MLK Action Team would like to thank all who attended and everyone who had a part in making it a successful event.
