Welcoming Immigrants – Addressing Anger & Fear

A timely community event to share concerns about animosity toward migrants on the Cape and ways that individuals and organizations can come together to support them.

Senator Julian Cyr encouraged everyone to meaningfully cultivate relationships with our migrants.

Marisol DelPilar and Katia DaCunha, both longtime residents of Cape Cod shared personal stories stories of their early years in the US and of recent and ongoing incidents of discrimination that family, friends and colleagues are experiencing.

Leslie Domingo-Santos shared serious statistics to emphasize the widespread problem with hate speech and incidents but she also included a lot of positive news fand possible action steps for everyone to consider.
