Get Involved: Make a Difference with Nauset Interfaith

At Nauset Interfaith, we believe in the power of community, compassion, and action. Our volunteers are the heart of our mission—helping to foster understanding, support those in need, and create meaningful change across the Cape Cod region. Whether you’re passionate about social justice, eager to lend a helping hand, or looking to connect with others who share your values, there’s a place for you here. Nauset Interfaith General Volunteer Opportunities

– Create and administer an NIA Facebook page with input & guidance from leadership team members
– Publicize NIA sponsored events via press releases, Public Service announcements, etc.

MLK Action Team Volunteer Opportunities
– Volunteer at our Educator’s Conference (July every other year)), MLK Breakfast (January) or Juneteenth Festival (June)
– Legislative Research for Advocacy Purposes – research pending legislative bills with impact on social justice issues of concern to NIA members.
– Write brief biographical “articles” of people of color who’ve made positive contributions to our history but have been excluded from most history books for our “Meet” section on the website.  Or write brief contributions for the  “News” section
– Assist with Community Book drives for local schools
– Explore potential speakers for future events, ie. Annual breakfast, Educator’s Conference
– Work with your faith community to host a film series or book discussions focused on anti-racism
– Support our work and other local social justice organizations with financial contributions
Youth Outreach and Hospitality Volunteer Opportunities
– Join us for monthly meetings to learn about who we are and what we do
– Research community events related to our mission to post on our website
– Help organize informational events to raise community consciousness on issues that affect youth on Cape Cod and the  Islands
– Share information on YOH with your faith community or organization and ask if they are willing to make a financial contribution to support our work
– Make and individual contribution
Environmental Justice Task Force Volunteer Opportunities
– Help plan Earth Day event annually
– Research and share information from other Cape Cod environmental groups
