Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year animal for 2026 is the Horse, specifically the Fire Horse, beginning on February 17, 2026, and ending on February 5, 2027, symbolizing energy, freedom, and strong momentum.  Many cultures follow lunar or lunisolar calendars for religious festivals and traditional purposes, including Islam (purely lunar), Judaism, and many East/Southeast Asian countries (China, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, etc.) for their traditional New Year (Spring Festival).
