Best of Enemies Film Showing to Benefit MLK Action Team

Cape Cinema of Dennis is hosting the film showing of Best of Enemies next Wednesday, February 7 at 6:30 pm. Tickets sales will in part, benefit the MLK Action Team, the racial justice advocacy arm of the Nauset Interfaith Association. The movie, starring Taraji P. Henson and Sam Rockwell, is based on the true story of Black civil rights activist Ann Atwater and KKK leader C.P. Ellis who are brought together under tense circumstances but eventually find their way to respect and a lifelong friendship.  Brief remarks regarding “having difficult conversations about race” by an MLK Action Team member will precede the film.   Opportunity to sign up for more in depth conversation on this topic at a later date will be available.
